About Timestamp Converter
Convert between Unix timestamps and human-readable dates. The unit — seconds, milliseconds, or microseconds — is detected automatically, and results are shown in UTC, your local time zone, ISO 8601, and relative time.
How to use Timestamp Converter
- Paste a Unix timestamp, or use the current time.
- Check the detected unit, or choose one explicitly.
- To go the other way, pick a date and time to get its epoch values.
- Copy any output value with one click.
Examples
Seconds
1700000000 is 2023-11-14T22:13:20Z.
Milliseconds
1700000000000 is detected as milliseconds and gives the same instant.
Limitations
- JavaScript dates support years from −271,821 to 275,760; values outside that range are rejected.
- Leap seconds are not represented, consistent with Unix time.

How is the unit detected?
By magnitude: values with up to 11 digits are treated as seconds, 12–14 digits as milliseconds, and 15–17 digits as microseconds. You can override this.
What time zone is used?
Results are shown both in UTC and in the time zone reported by your browser.
